If you are thinking about a weekend ski break, Val d'Isere is the place to be seen with the rich and famous. The Parisians in particular flock to this ski mecca with the night trains on Thursday and Friday packed to the rafters and similarly on Sunday, Monday as they head back to the capital. From Grenoble and Chambery the transfer times are typically good (around 2 and a 1/4 hours) so many weekend skiers from other European cities are seen landing late Friday before departing on Monday, having bagged three great days skiing in . In such circumstances, two ski trips impact just two days in the office yet the 6 days on the ski slopes is the same as a weeks ski package!
So go with the smart money, and get away for a great ski weekend with the people that like to live life to the full!
